OK - I've got a full length Explorer floor console in my 5-speed 99 SuperCab.

Easily pulled the front slide-in "compartment" from the console to allow the floor shift lever to come up through.

With that front compartment pulling out of the console so easily - it makes me think that something else might oughta go in there easily - like an OEM shifter boot from a manual trans Explorer that had a full length floor console.

Question - what year (or years) Explorer had both a manual trans (floor shift) AND a full length center console?

Knowing what years would let me go talk to the local stealership and see if one can be ordered.

Yes - I'm too lazy to fab my own shifter boot (it'd probably end up looks not very OEM-ish!)

No explorer came factory with the full length and manual trans. If they were manual trans, they came with a 'shorty' console. Only real option is going custom on the boot. RedlineTuning makes nice boots.

Guess I'll quit looking for an OEM boot, and will hit up a local upholstery shop, and see what they can do.
