I find this to be a very convenient location for my purposes but it probably wouldn't work too well with children sitting back there....

yeah i used one of the screws that holds the speaker in for one bracket an then i put the other bracket over the back speaker screw. i wanted to be able to grab it without having to climb in the truck.

I have 2 there, and then one with clips right inside the driver's side door on the floor.

Mine is mounted under the driver's seat, easy to grab from inside or outside the truck, and the mount grips the light tight enough that it won't slide out and smack my right ankle if I have to stand on the brakes.

I bought it from a member on the RPS board. He was experimenting with building a maglite mount, and came up with that design. He made a few for other folks as well, and may be willing to create more. I think I sent him 10 or 15 bucks to cover material, labor, and shipping. It was the first "mod" I ever did to my truck (way back in August of this year! )

Care to tell who this rather elusive member is? I'd be willing to pay 10-15 for that mount.

Uh...provided that the light will fit. I have a 4 D cell.

I put mine on that jack cover in the middle in the back. I figured it would be an easy piece to replace if i didn't like it.
