Wind noise fix on passenger doors

I bought a 2007 Ford Ranger in 2020 4l 2wd. I did not notice the noise at first but after a few hour long road trips it became apparent that there was allot of wind noise from the passenger door.
At first i thought it was the window seal, but after reading a few articles on wind noise, i tried to install some auto weather striping. However the wind noise was not much better. Then i noticed that the rear door was not closed tight, it would literally move 1/4 of an inch in and out when it was closed. - My thought was how do i tighten that up. There are no adjustments on the receiving latch so i removed the latch and use a Dremel tool and eventually slotted the mounting bolt holes. In the process of installing and removing the original bolts i striped the head so just went out and bough replacement hex bolts. Eventually i was able to slot the bolt holes enough to tighten the rear door and remove the wind noise. What a difference. Thought i would share my adventure and a few pics encase others are having the same issue.

First try was with weather striping- in the end i left the weather stripping on even after i slotted the upper rear door receiving latch.

Decided to create slotted bolt hole with a Dremel tool, took an hour or so but worked in the end.

upper door latch installed. I stripped the inside of the original bolts after the first couple of fittings, so had to go and get hex replacement bolts.
