window crank problem

ok i have a problem with my manual driver side window. Its a PITA to roll up or down the window since the handle like comes out of place and like comes out of the door....

i have to push in on the center of the crank to roll it up so the teeth engage. if i dont the crank just comes out of its spot and spins freely.

The guy at the parts store said it was probably a bad pin that broke off and is still somewhat there. if its wasnt there at all he said i could pull the crank right out of the door.

my question is, how do I access the pin and is the handle held on my a screw or rivet in my 2000???

thanks alot in advance cuz this lil problem sucks!

It is held on by a screw and to access it you have to kind of pop the top part of the handle to get to the screw.

I just tossed my old crank assemblies in the trash, if I knew you needed them or if you would have read my thread I would have sent them to you for the cost of shipping and pretty much free!
