I'm thinking about getting some Yellow Leather Racing Seats for my truck.... but I'm concerned with the Airbag and Seatbelt sensors. is there a way to remove the airbag stuff out of factory seat and mount it on racing seat? Same thing for seat belts....

Anyone done this before?

the airbag censor is connected to the buckled you pluf the belt into, I beleive. and that is star bolted into the seat.

So with saying that, you could still plug the seatbelt in, it jsut wouldn't work unless you put it into the seat.

I'd get a 4 or 5 point harness if you are gonne get a racing seat though.

Hope this helped a little

I wouldn’t recommend the racing harnesses if your just going to daily drive your truck they are a PAIN IN THE *** takes forever to put on, half the time you can get to the radio. Everyone forgets that stock seat belts allow you to move forward and racing harnesses don’t, you have to loosen the belts to move forward. But it’s up to you.

Or unplug the restraint control module or RCM, located in the middle floor under the dash.

or I bet you could just plug a resistor into the empty socket to simulate the emergency belt tensioner and seat belt.
