You REALLY need to stroll the site for LED cluster threads. We've got tons of 'em and one currently in progress that's top notch.

You really need to stroll through the site and take a look at all the LED cluster and dash threads we've got here. We've got TONS. One is currently in progress and was updated just a few hours ago...

Also, go to Google and search n3elz cardomain. This will bring you to a Ranger-Forums member's page that's packed full of how-to's...including cluster color change and dash switch LED illumination swaps. He literally inspired all the LED dash and cluster swaps from the past few years. He pretty much started it all.

The process of putting in the Strip LEDs is more time than anything else.
Take the Panel apart, place strip around the inside of the Panel, making sure to avoid any of the mechanisms.
Lay the Face back on and lite it up and see what you have.
if you have areas that have shadows try to determine if an extra strip of LEDs will fit on the side of the shadowed area, then do it.
As far as powering the strip, my package came with three connectors, I bought five more just in case.
These connectors are easy to attach and drill some holes in the back of the Cluster to get the wires through if nothing else presents itself.
Tie all of the red and the blk together and power it up.
Make changes as necessary.
I found some tape to hold things in place to start, once you have determined the best location then remove the paper and stick it home.

Luck on the project, just take your time, don’t rush and DON’T accept just OK.
DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME !

I put some finishing touches on mine tonight, added three more strips of RED LEDS and some of the Bulb LED w/4 SMD LED on each Bulb.
The Bulb LEDs did help a little to fill in some of the shadows I was getting, couldn’t hurt so I left them.
Now to put thing back together.
