Hi. I have a 1988 STX project for sale. I had great hopes of fixing up this Ranger. I found the holy grail (in my opinion) of Rangers for sale here in Arizona. A 1988 short box, STX with the rare factory High-Rider option. Standard cab, 4WD, Manual transmission. I spend time in Arizona over the winters, and thought it would be a perfect project. I dove right in to it, ordered a ton of parts, sourced some parts from marketplace and scrap yards, and was ready to go. Then work changed, and my free time over the winter months is no longer. I realize I'll never get to it. This project needs a garage, and someone skilled and experianced in restoring old vehicles. It has been sitting outside for the last two years. I got it to run, but then it cuts out abruptly. I have the original bucket seats (need reupholstering), about $1000 worth of Rock Auto new parts, a spare 2.9l, original factory service manuals, some scrapyard replacement parts like new steering wheel, bumper, grill, valance, factory radio, STX badges, etc. Arizona vehicle all it's life. No rust. I have about $4000 in to it between the engines, truck, and new parts. WOuld love to get that for the project. You could look for years and never find a short box regular cab with the factory lift kit. Reluctantly putting it out there. I can send more photos if interested. Would need to be towed.
