09 East Coast Meet
#83
So I think if we are really going to go through with this.....we need to put some people "in charge". Like have Katie, myself, and Trent organize a few things since we came up with the idea. Everyone else can throw ideas in and we can pretty much go with 'majority rules' when it comes to making decisions. We're going to need to get in contact w/ all the east coasters here on RF and everyone is going to have to semi-"commit" to going so we can get an approximate head count for the campgrounds at OBX and to tell LMS how many trucks we will have
If anyone (even if you aren't coming) has any ideas, post it up. I really, really want to make this meet happen. It would be epic to have a Ranger from every east coast state converge and meet up.

first yall need to find out which campgrounds and they don't make reservations so everyone might have to go to different campgrounds and be split up. as far as food food lion isn't that far. i have a portable grill and a tent that will hold eight (well six more since me and my girl will be in it. oregon inlet campgrounds is right by the entrance to the beach to drive on and the fishing center is right there too for the guys like me that want to go see what the fishermen have caught thats always fun to do and for the ppl that air down there tires they have a place to air them back up when you get off the beach. i don't care whos in charge just ill will keep an eye on this when a date and time is posted and i will be there and will have one person with me

if we have at least 7 people commit, we can make reservations at Oregon Inlet. "Camping for groups of 7 to 30 people is available by reservation only at Oregon Inlet Campground. For information call (252) 441-0882. Group camping is $4.00 per person, including infants and toddlers." So if we have over 7, and under 30, we can reserve. if there is over 30 (?) we would probably have to split up were we camp (majority at Oregon, then the rest somewhere else, or just make two different reservation or something?)

LOL, some guy has a mile long or 7 mile long particle accelerator, that he says he is going to turn on tomorrow. Scientists are saying that it is going to change things on a big scale or something.
Errr, 17 miles long - http://www.adnkronos.com/AKI/English...1.0.2471028188
Anyways, I am 80% sure I'm in for this. July 31st, August 1st + 2nd 2009. When it gets closer, maybe 2-3 months out, get a head count of who would be camping, and see if we could reserve a spot or something like I said above.

Sounds good Steven, lets pick out a good location and date after we get a close head count of everyone going.
It's about 10-13 so far?
