Oh okay man...Yeah thats awsome, a convoy would be badass

I am going to the OBX. And will be camping too.

I was in the same boat and didnt realize that LMS was out of the way. I was thinking the same thing as to a caravan meeting up at OBX.

if we have at least 7 people commit, we can make reservations at Oregon Inlet. "Camping for groups of 7 to 30 people is available by reservation only at Oregon Inlet Campground. For information call (252) 441-0882. Group camping is $4.00 per person, including infants and toddlers." So if we have over 7, and under 30, we can reserve. if there is over 30 (?) we would probably have to split up were we camp (majority at Oregon, then the rest somewhere else, or just make two different reservation or something?)
Group camping reservations are available, as stated. Individuals just show up on a space-a type of deal, no reservations are taken.

The people coming from the north can meet up in Baltimore or Richmond, and then head down that way if they want. My map programs say that it would be quicker for me to head through Delaware to get there, but if there is going to be a convoy, it is only 50 miles the other way, and only about 20 more minutes If I were to keep on 95.

Sweet sounds like we found our place! I'm in no matter what, we need to figure out how many people can commit 100% and then see when we can make a reservation.

I'm gonna go out on a bit of a limb and say go ahead and count me in. it's a bit far off to say for sure, but I'd really like to be there.

To be honest with you all, I think if we were to put $5-$10 a week away, and put a $100 or so in Stimulus money (come spring time) aside....we should all be alright come July 2009.

ya that was the oregon inlet one. i loved it. its right before the fishing pier around 4 and 5 oclock you can go to the piers and see what everyone caught for the day. and right across the street from the pier is the access to the BEACH!

Absolutley not. No F-150's what so ever. J/K. Honestley I think it would just be awesome to get a bunch of people together.
