i usually spend a good amount but you dont have to. if you bring all your own food, and fix it, then only buy the passes you need your good to go for pretty cheap.

if you ride go carts, forget stuff, and need ice/firewood your gonna spend more.

it should be on the 29th technically but gov't and anything that matters is doing the 25th thus making the weekend of 23-25 memorial weekend, that would be the weekend never to go, that and 4th of july...

easiest way? buy the little bracket that they sell at the store for 5 bucks. Its a Ubolt clamp that wraps around one of the tow hooks. Works pretty good and its easy.

i will look at it tomorrow to see whatelse i can figure out.

Oh hell that works fine then.
I figured they were all 8x24 threads. Well I guess they probably are but I don't have a bracket, unless I guess a hood/fender 8x24 antenna bracket I have laying around.

(sorry if it has been discussed here already I haven't kept up with the thread)

It also just so happens that, since my wife gave her notice, her last day will be the Thursday before this. Hmm....

my flag is 1/2-13 or 9/16-18 thread, a flag with an 8-24 thread would be really small

Whoops. Sorry, sometimes I don't know what I was thinking when I look back at a post, lol.

3/8"-24 is what I meant to say.
I had a fender mount 2meter antenna on the ranger, using a 3/8"-24 thread. My flag was threaded the same so I always screwed it in there at the dunes.
I don't believe I brought my flag out here with me though, I'll have to pick up another.

Yours ended up to be 1/2 inch. I only know because I saw your new reciever tapped out yesterday. And I though you had a standard dunes flag from the store up there?

Ive seen several trucks(f150s) use those mounts i talked about and they work fine. And for the price you cant go wrong.

You will want to buy a flag there, otherwise they will give you a hard time, they always want you to run a Silver Lake Dunes Flag.
