If he can get through the soft stuff and make it to the packed stuff, he'll be ok. I know at Corolla for sure. i took my truck out of 4x4 on the packed wet stuff. Im sure with 4-5 4x4s, he'll be ok...lol

I realize its a heavier truck, but I remember when I was 9 and living down there, my dad used to take our 94' F150 2WD out there. Also, one time he took his 88' Grand Marquis Station Wagan (The Tank) out on Corolla once. That was a site

Yeah the entrance to OI is the worst part, its really soft and pretty deep. But with a pressure drop and just follow someones tracks I don't think there would be a issue, just don't stop haha.

I dropped my pressure down to 18 psi last year at Corolla, you think that will be enough at OI?

Yeah that will be fine. I probably won't even drop pressure lol. I was fine on stock tires at 35psi last year, you won't have a issue.

Joey your welcome to ride with me if you don't want to take your truck, I should have the backseat partially open.

I figured as much. The wider stance ought to help with the new wheels and all. I wnet out in Corolla with the stock 16x7s wrapped in Duellers last year, absolutley no problem. Like i said, I went through the soft stuff fast and all. aint afraid of nothing...lol

watch, ill be the first to get stuck now...lol

Honestly I wouldn't worry about it, your fine driving on that pressure. Just don't take turns super fast or anything. When I was in Okracoke I drove around on the road fine back to air up

When I went i drove the hour trip back to kitty hawk for air as I coulnd find any in Duck or anything. So we are good to go then. Ill see everyone Saturday around 10-10:30 at oregon Inlet campground. Lunch around 12-1 consisting of burgers or something, then out to the beach for some wheeling and swimming!

I normally just air down to about 20 if its soft and I dont even worry about airing back up to go home, ofcourse i only live about 2 hours away from OI and 3 hours away from Hatteras.

For corolla I dont even bother airing down.

I do need new tires soon though

Oh I was gonna do lunch out on the beach actually. Doesn't matter to me though, we can figure it out once everyone gets there. Just not much to do in the campground for 2 hours except sweat haha

Haha Bring bug spray too, When I was there in the beginning of May there were alot of chiggers and flies and Mosquitoes, oh and bring a gun so we can shoot the crows that try and attack the food and paint. I had about 8 on the roof of my truck last time we were down there

Haha I'll bring the BB gun. And yes bug spray is super important, you'll go crazy without it.

Scott, I honestly wouldn't worry about taking air out of your tires. Me and my brothers have never taken any air out of our tires, and one has a truck similar to your setup and has never had any trouble. But now Joey, on the other hand... I can bring a portable one if I dont forget, but it only holds about 120PSI of air.

Made sure the tent and the mattress were good to go last night. Gotta throw the grill on the front hitch and load up the cooler and I'm good to go! Leaving at 6 tomorrow morning haha.
