Rausch Creek spring trip
Finally found the actual oil leak on my truck. After finding the distributor loose and the oil sending unit was leaking I fixed them but still had a leak. At this point it could only be the rear main seal or the oil pan gasket at the rear. I pulled the trans on Thursday thinking it was the rear main seal. But I found the oil pan gasket is torn. So lucky me I get to pull the engine now to replace it. But atleast it will be fixed.
Usually a Sunday is best for me. That way we can use my shop and have air tools and lifts.
Downey the date is April 24th and 25th.
Well apparently the rigging I did didn't work. It still leaks oil. And I found out today on my way to the beach that it likes to overheat if I'm not doing 40 or so.
Jason you have dibs on the wheels and tires when we get up there. I'll take some pics and you can tell me what you think they are worth if you really want to buy them.

Well at this point I don't think I'm going to go. The truck is still overheating, still leaking oil, and to top it off on the way home from work the oil pressure was dropping when I reved it past 4k.
Jason if you still want to borrow the tires I'm sure I can find a way to get them up to you. Even if I have to bring them up during the week some time in my brothers Tacoma.

I'm out. My truck leaks oil like a sieve. I don't want to be the one who leaves a trail of oil around the park and I don't want to risk blowing the engine by running low on oil.
Sorry guys.
