To answer the question "What do we have to lose?", 3 hours. |
yeah, but I loved the roads (smooth) and I hate ****ing tolls and the big city. If you left earlier it wouldnt be too bad, nice change in scenery. I'm going to try and price out the ferry across with gas and see what I can find maybe.

yeah But I spend almost $120 to get there so that coming back too. so If I only spend $80 in gas to get to the end of WI and back plus $150 round trip on the ferry I still come out better. plus I can relax on a ferry..it can all be weighed out
|
i sent that bear to get you Andy. It failed and paid with its life. I hope you skinned it and ate it.
|
lol, when I told my Dad he was like, well wtf you shoulda went back and got it.

that was going up through the UP home. I got alot better mpg cause I was staying more in the 55-60mph range rather than 65-75mph I think. When I went down through chicago and up I spent alot more, close to $190 I'd say. I hit lots of traffic and road construction stop and go.
its a spendy trip for sure |
i went to south carolina once after i sas'd it. i spent around 550 in gas total. it adds up fast.
yeah i had the same problem. but i couldnt help myself to go faster. lol i got 7-8 on the way home the wind was horrible. |
yeah no doubt plus your truck sits even higher on the trailer than mine and that doesnt help much either.
its worth the trip once or twice a year for me. plus the off dune time with you guys is always pretty fun. Glad I made the trip |

its a spendy trip for sure I think next May I will be heading out there a couple days earlier. It goes way too fast. Camping is much cheaper in the spring anyways. I would also like to get up to that state forest we passed and check out the trails up there. |
yeah I only used a tank on the dunes, but you were there an extra day. Yeah in the spring I will probably take a couple extra days too
