Jesse you seem to know everyone. Theres a guy in north van with an 08 4x4 just like yours. Grey, 3" body, shackle lift, but still on stock tires.. any idea who that is. His truck is always parked down from my house. Never met the guy but im gonna go talk to him and introduce him to the boards and invite him to the meet.

A large amount of whisky, and a big fire.

If you want, there are a couple of nice hotels 10 mins away.

I can help her save some cash by putting her up in The Stave Lake Hotel aka my camper j/k

Marie, pick up a cheap tarp and cover your pickup box with it. If you want, I will have a generator up there and I can bring up a space heater to keep it warm. A decent sleeping bag will do the rest (got lots around here if one's needed, got tons of tarps too). Don't worry about the camping part of it, thats the best part of any weekend trip The fire's goinna kick *** and it shouldn't be all that cold yet up there. Damp/condensation will be the biggest issue, and thats where the space heater will take the edge off of it.

Don't let the worry of camping keep ya from coming up, it'll be a hell of a good time! LR

or just bring up a tent, thats what im thinking im gonna do. i know that sleeping in the back of my potentially wet, muddy box sucks. and the cab is impossible to get comfy. a tent will keep you dry and keep the heat in for the most part.

I'll get Mike to drag the 2 or 3 garbage bags of magnesium shavings he has kicking around here. They burn fast but they're fun to play with. The best are large chunks or heavy plate, he used to have a bunch but its all burnt now. That stuff's getting harder to come by these days. LR

Tents are fine but the ground tends to be pretty wet there. You might get lucky enough to find a dry, sandy area though. If it snows that'll be best because it offers the best insulation. LR

I got a couple 1 lb tanks, but I don't have any spare larger tanks. All the ones around here are being used. Magnesium wrapped 1 lb tank should be fun though! LR
