1995 3L Beater

I just bought a basket case of Ranger!! I'm looking forward to getting back in shape. Previous owners rerouted heater hoses, unplugged connectors, and pulled and left off exhaust components. So, I'll be asking a lot of questions. Thanks in advance.

Doesn't even run well with all that disconnected ?
Or even run at all ?

Runs, drives, stops. Washer pump was disconnected, heater core taken out of the loop, missing blower resistor and pigtail, passenger wiper blade gone (new arms don't attach to spline, seams like an adapter is missing), small diameter vacuum(?) line not connected, catalytic converter removed, belt tensioner not functioning as it should, tailgate handle disconnected from latches...a lot of small stuff. Replaced blower resistor and pigtail, checked fuses, blower works when connected to 12V though doesn't work using switches in cabin.

Belt Tensioner Unit Replacement

What is the size of the torx head bolt holding the serpentine belt tensioner on? The bolt in question is the one mounting the spring housing not the pulley.http://www.supermotors.org/getfile/2...tensioner2.jpg. The torx head bolt on the left in the picture.

Welcome to the group. Glad you are here. I'm learning to do things on my truck. Having fun here and in the driveway. These trucks really hold up over time. If the sound is terrible. Then I would replace the CAT converter. After 5 more years on my 2001 I'm going to remove the CAT. I want my V6 to sound like a V8. I like the noise. Hope we can get your connectors connected.

Heater core probably bypassed due to leak. If you replace heater core replace blend door as well. Blower issue may be the fan switch or fuse.

Checked fuses and relays and substituted a junkyard a/c manual controller with no luck. Going to put in an aftermarket 3-speed switch.
