'Ey all..
I could swear I posted in intro, especially seeing as how I registered over a year ago, but.. I can't find it, so I'll repost..
In Maryland/DC area, picked up a 2010 Ranger on 10/10/10 (no joke). As of now, I have 33500 miles on it, which is a little less than I had intended for the first year.
4-banger, extended cab, metallic blue (can't remember the Ford name for the color?) So far, since it's still under warranty - no mods. However, I'll soon be out, and then I plan on doing some work on it.
Before this truck, I had an '02 BMW Mini Cooper, it was sold in '07 with 250k miles on it, I did not want to get it a third transmission. Wasn't worth it.
However, before THAT, I had a '94 Ranger that lasted me up until I got the Mini. Had over 200k miles before it was totaled - twice. (The first time was for body damage, from passenger wheel well. I sold it to my Aunt in Florida, who ran a horse farm. She used it for about a year before taking on a cow in the road. Unfortunately, the cow won. She got a lot of hamburger out of it, but the truck had the radiator slammed into the front of the engine.)
Anyways, I do part-time work for a local railroad, and have toyed with the idea of getting a hy-rail installed onto the Ranger. However, so far haven't had a strong use for it, so I've been holding off.
Cheers -
Mike.
