88 Ford Ranger 2.3l V6

Hello everyone. I have an 88 with I believe 363000 miles. The last owner was pretty sure about this number. Is there a way to find out for sure? Maybe on the computer there is a way to find out. Anyway, it has a blown head gasket or intake manifold leak. Here's the deal: whereever it can leak, it DOES leak. I have had a few minor problems with it like snotty oil, bad relay, blown tire, sludgy tranny fluid and so on. Is it worth a rebuild or a what. I bought it to haul my trash to the dump 2 miles away and go to work. That dump is about another 2 miles. I love the body style, always have and so I picked this truck up for a $1000. I would like to paint it cause the front fenders and hood are primer- off a bronco two. Always starts right up. I would hate to love on the body if the engine is gonna die soon. Ya know you can pick up the newer ones for around 3 grand all day long. How many miles more could I get out of a good rebuild? Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
