Air Temp Sensor for 2002 Ranger

Hello Everyone- I am new to Ranger-Forum and I am looking for some help please. I have a 2002 Ranger XLT with the 3.0L V6 (non-flex fuel) engine. It currently has an OBD-II code of P0113 for Intake Air Temp Sensor Circuit High. I purchased a new temp sensor for it and discovered when I went to replace it that I could not find it on the engine. There is the Mass Airflow Sensor just downstream from the air filter, and there is a pneumatic tap off that goes to the R/H valve cover, but there are no other sensors in the ducting from the air filter to the throttle body. There are 2 sensors? on the throttle body, but neither physically matches up with part or connector needed. I am looking for guidance to let me know where else I need to look. Thank you.

Welcome to the site!

The IAT sensor is actually 'built into' the MAF sensor on your truck.

Your MAF connector (C128) should have 6 wires - only the inner four deal with the MAF function. Pins #1 & #6 are the leads for the intake air temperature sensor.

Pin #1 = 20 AWG - Grey w/ Red Stripe
Pin #6 = 20 AWG - Grey
