A/C cycling
Good afternoon. First time user so if the question is in the wrong place let me know.
1996 Ford Ranger 4.0 XLT. A/C works (cool air) but compressor cycles rapidly and will not get cold in the vehicle. Gage readings are 25-45 on low side cycle and 95-125 on high side. Outside temp is 76. Attempts to add freon were not successful--system seems to not be taking the charge. On full blow (clutch hangs in about 3 seconds---on low cool about 8-10 seconds). No change in vehicle inside temp on either side. All electrical connections seem to be in place and are tight in the sockets. I ive in Arizona so needless to say A/C is needed. Just purchased the vehicle so I have no past history. One apparent minor leak on the high side O-ring to condensor--all others look pretty clean. Soooo any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a good day
