Icon5 Bigger tires...lift kit?

Hey everyone, I'm new to the site here. Got a question. I have a 2005 Ranger FX4 Level II. It's stock now. I don't want to get too ridiculous with it mainly because my pockets aren't too deep, but I would like to put some 33in tires under it. In order to do so, would I need a lift kit? If so, how much and what kind of life (body or suspension)?

depends on how much you wont to spend

bodly lifts cost about 200.
suspension any where 1200 to 1500 on average

you could do a 3 inch body lift for around 200. It leaves the stock suspension and ride alone, just puts spacers between the body and frame to give you more clearence. im sure more people will chime in.

Welcome to the site

No but you will rub a little on hard turns are your if you have 16" wheels currently i woudl check out 285/75-r16's, however, if you are wanting 33/1250's i would suggest a 3"BL.

Thanks guys, I'll probably do the 3 inch body lift, seems like the most popular reply. i have the stock 15 inch Alcoa rims now... would like to go with the stock brand and make of tire, just bigger... Before I go, what about a performance chip? I've looked and looked, can't find squat, would like to squeeze a few more ponies out of that 4.0

Thanks again.

Go for the body lift!

Hey welcome !!!
Im new to the forum too and i recently just installed a 3in body lift. I would recommend it to someone who's looking for a cost effective way. Check out summit racing. They have really affordable kits for rangers.
If you have problem installing it the guys on hear are really helpful!
They helped me through some pickles...

3inch BL will be more then enough to fit 33s.

TBar crank should clear it fine as well, mild rubbing maybe.

If you don;t want to spend much, crank the torsion bars and get some drop shackles and throw some 32's on and call it a day.
