Hey there,
I'm super-stoked to get involved with a good group of peeps that can help each other solve problems.
I'm a father of 4 (2boys, 2girls), and married for coming up on 20 years. I've always done minor repairs on my own, but have never really done anything too intrusive.
I currently have a '99 Ranger, 3.0L, V6 with a belt squeal (or pulley) and some clutch concerns.
I'm not real sure how to introduce myself, I almost feel like it's some sort of dating site....I like long walks on the beach :). Actually, I'm just a dude learning how to go deeper into the motor-head world and starting to feel a little overwhelmed by my lack of experience. I have mechanical and technical aptitude, but my lack of experience has hindered me this far.
I do have one question to start with, if anyone reads these. Does this vehicle have a timing belt or chain? I'm thinking about changing this out soon, if it's a belt. I just changed one out in a subaru outback and realized I should take of my truck's as well...
Have a good one,
Joe
