Hello from Canadaland

Hey everyone, just a new member here, trying to soak up as much info as possible.

I just bought a new 2011 Oxford white FX4 4X4 auto. Will post some pics up soon enough

This is our 3rd vehicle, I will probably do a slight lift and some 285/75/16s, some hids and keep it clean.

Nice Im just trying to decide on the lift I wan to do.

Im thinking I may just do the tortion bar crank, and maybe a small block in the back.

I want to run a 15 x 8 or 10 .... or a 16 x 8 .. I want the wheels to fit flush to the fender.

Im not too sure what the backspacing I will need.

hah

So I have been reading like mad, just have a few questions if anyone can help that would be great.

Im going to run a 285 75 16 tire on a 16 x 8 wheel.

As far as the lift goes, I will just be doing the prekey or cranked tortion bars on the front.

Now on the rear, I would like to lift it slightly.. Are the stock blocks a 1.5" ?

If I ditched the 1.5" block and put the 3" block would it have a decent stance or would it be 80s drag race truck?

Would a 2" block be a better choice? I have read not too stack blocks, I find it funny because the dealership here has a 2011 with blocks stacked.

would it be okay to run a 2" block stacked ontop of the 1.5" or just get a 3" block and run it by itself

Well I got the prekey mod done, and belltech shackles on the rear. I have some rancho rs5374 front shocks on order, as I am topping out a bit over big bumps. Wheels are xdbully123 and tires are 285-75-16 duratracs heres a quick pic.

also have 3000k fog lights, figured out I cant run hid in the ranger headlights....

Welcome to RF, truck looks good. What's the red sticker on the tailgate about?

morris 11-10-2011 08:55 PM

Red dragons. I think it's a skate board thing. There is more meaning to it though.

Arron, truck is looking good. Glad to see you took my advice on lifting it.

Installed some new rancho 5000 rs5347 front shocks, they are for 1-2" of lift. they really improved the ride quality. Happy with the upgrade, made a huge difference!
