I joined a couple days ago while looking at buying an old Ranger... now I own it.

It's not much to look at, but is a solid little truck that will do well for me as a runabout for housework that I can't do with my daily.

It's a 96 base model XL 3.0 V6 2WD auto with 188k miles showing. It needs good washing, a leaf spring bracket ground off and replaced, an exhaust leak patched, and a hard warm start issue sorted out, but those aren't anything I can't handle myself.

As for myself, I am 34, an auto parts sales guy of 12 years and I drove several of the last of the Rangers for a few years while dropping off parts. I'm also a moderator of another auto forum, and I am from Indiana.

Guess I'll be meeting more of you guys soon as I have a lot to learn about working on these trucks.
