Hello, Hi, How are ya...

Hi, guys.
I'm new to the forum, but I've been eaves dropping for a while now, just trying to learn as much as I can from the guys who are solving the problems.
I'm a licensed Airframe and Powerplant mechanic working as a Quality Acceptance Specialist at the Boeing 787 plant in Charleston SC.
My truck is a 95 green extended cab, a bone stock tired old soldier with 267,000 miles on the original 3.0L sleepy six.I have been driving it since Sept. 2008. My only complaint is that it keeps on cranking up and leaving the yard, and faithfully bringing me home again, so I have no excuse to modify anything.
Future plans are a 5.0 swap, lowering and rims, the usual stuff. I'll tear in to it soon since it is no longer my Daily Driver.
Anyway, glad to meet you all!

Love it.

Welcome to RF!

Have you started collecting parts for the 5.0 swap?

Thanks!

Taylor, I haven't really started gathering stuff up yet... I have some assorted Mustang giblets laying around, but my plan is to stalk and kill an Explorer and use the carcass for the swap.
That's a while off, though. Gonna get cosmetic stuff squared away first. It needs the seats redone, rims and tires, etc...

Gotta start somewhere.

Oh, and I have a spare 94 regular cab 4 banger 5 speed truck stashed at my place in Florida that I will drag up here to rob pieces-parts from as well.
You never know what you're gonna need.

And it still doesn't use oil, no ticks, no rattles, no nothin'.
The only reason I want to change it is that it's slow and not very good on gas. (And 5.0's in anything are fun.)
