hey!! Welcome... I had a 99 with the flex fuel, 4x4, 5 sp... I was getting about 18 in the city and 21 on the freeway... I think I had some engine problems brewing but my 08 is in the same range... that's all I know but search around, there's a ton of info here!

:welcome:

My 2000 Ranger with the 3.0L gets about 18mpg city. I like the 4th gen Ranges the best....1998-2000.

Welcome!!

The 2.3 4 bangers with 5spd get in the upper 20's while the 4.0 w\5spd will get somewhere around 18-22 I would say. I think the 3.0 ethier gets the same as the 4.0 or slightly worse.

Welcome!

If you get a mid 2001 or newer 4-cyl, the duratec 2.3 and 5-speed trucks seem to average out to about 27mpg, and the only Achilles heel would be the transmission.
