Ok, so I have a 99 ranger, 3.0 v6, 5 speed 4x4. It has the ford 8.8 in the rear, and I'm looking into changing it over to 31 spline, with a Yukon ls. I have been reading stuff on this forum for years, and I'm deciding that it's time for me to post here myself looking for some help. If anyone has ever done it hit me up. I am looking at yukon 31 spline explorer shafts, and a 488 gear set, I know it's going to be pricey... but such is life lol. My question is, can I just change my bearings and all to fit the new axles, or will this even work? I know they are almost identical housings, but will they be similar enough to cross parts over?
