3TIME RANGER OWNER

Hi, my name is Bill and I'm on my third Ranger. My first was a '90 4cyl. 3 speed. It was ok,more for my wife than me. In 2001 I bought a '99 4x4 with a 3.0 in it and fell in love with the truck, now for me and not my wife. I sold it in 2008 because I found a 2002 extended cab xlt 4x4 off rode with only 35,000 miles and not a scratch on it. It's a 4.0 and it is all for me.
I'm writng because i have a problem with the headlights. I do not have an auto setting on the headlight switch, but the headlights come on anyway. It also has DLR's. I don't know what turns the light the headlights(taliliights too) on. I would like to disable the DLR's and just have my headlights come on just when i turn the switch. With my 99, I could rne with just running lamps and foglights, which is what I would like now. Can anybody explain this to me. Thanks in advance, Bill.

Welcome to R/F, I believe there is a how to for this. There should be a light sensor somewhere that turns them on, not entirely sure though
