New member saying hi

This is my second Ranger. I had a 95 Extended Cab 2wd but it just wouldn't do in the winter. I've since been driving around in a 97 5.0 AWD Explorer, but it started to rot out under me and I needed something better, so I scored a 4wd Ranger in great shape, and I'm quite happy with it (although I miss the throttle response of the 5.0!)

This is my daily driver, but I'm a car mod addict, so it will end up getting upgrades. I've already considered adding a couple of inches of lift and some larger rims/tires.

I've done a bit of looking around here, and like what I've seen so far. I look forward to getting to know some new people, and learning what's out there for these trucks.

welcome. You do know you can still have the throttle response of a 5.0, if you still have the exploder, you could always swap the 5.0 into the ranger.

Haha. No. That's tired as all hell. It's got 230K on it. Plus, I have a long drive to work, and the increased gas mileage is a good thing.

I've got the 3.0. My last one was a 4.0. It got better mileage than the 5.0, and that was with small tires. Not a ton, but I drive enough that it's still worth getting a few more to the gallon, especially at $3/gal. LOL
