Good point Sixt9coug, this is a 3.0 L diesel common rail ( 163 CV ), that accomplish with Euro IV regulations.. Until Dec 08, we struggled due to in Argentina we had no diesel in line with this engine. Now, one company have the required diesel with just 50ppm of sulfur ...
I guess it pollutes less than more of the gas engines now.
Steven S. .. I'm not sure about the color, and Ford doesn't help , sold some of these rangers as "verde octano" ( in babelfish green octane ) or "azul octano" ( blue octane ). It depends of the daylight you have.

let me make clear that in argentina 99% of the ford ranger are diesel and we are always jealous of the V6 or V8 american motors

That's a very nice truck you've got.
It's a shame Ford never offered the 4 door or the diesel here in North America. They would sell very well I think.
We do have lots of 4 door trucks here, but they are mostly full size trucks. I think the smallest 4 door trucks sold in North America are the Chevrolet S10/GMC Sonoma crew cab and the Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon.
