i have been a fan of these rangers for years the best ones i like are square body ones lests say from around 1980s- 1990s
the 1st i had was a 1983 xlt which it got totalled,now i have a 1990 xlt & yes some problems but i dont think there too bad from what ive seen so far ,i just got the truck yesterday
i have had all kinds of them thu the years ,i like the square body the best,the problem i have at the moment is i think the linkage for the shifter is loose,going to have find that little plate that keeps everything hooked up makes everything shift,its happened to me before once i got everything tighten back up i was good to go again
as it is right now it will shift out just as smooth as it can be no problems starts real easy got a real strong motor in it hasnt had too many changes done to it it does need some stuff done to the body & interior done which i think the whole inside is shot
i cant complain too much , i dinnt except it to be perfect its used & the age ,& only gave$300 for it ,ive been wanting another square body for ever now around here where i live a near perfect & sometimes ones that dont run at all their out of their minds what they want for them
