Hello All!

Hi everyone! I'm Tyler, and I've had my 2000 Ranger 4x4 for about 2 1/2 years now. It's been my DD up until recently. I bought myself an 08 Civic, and am starting the process of making my Ranger into an offroad/trail rig. I do want to keep it usable on the road as well.

I do have a few questions though. Does anyone know if a beanch seat (maybe out of an old Bronco or something) would fit in my Ranger? Also, what are the biggest tires I could fit without lifting my truck?

Thanks to all who take the time to read this. Look forward to hearing back and getting more involved with the forum.

Tyler

Welcome to the site!

First and second gen Rangers came with a true bench seat. It would physically fit in your truck, but the mounting brackets are gonna be different.

Somewhere in the 32-33" by 10.5-11" range for tires. I know guys that stuff 285/75/16s on their stock trucks and still will them with some success. Anything much larger and you're gonna be pounding sheet metal when the suspension cycles.

Thanks! I'm planning on doing an Explorer sear/console swap, but figured I'd see how hard a beanch would be to fit in there.

I think my plan for right now is to put on some 32s, and maybe cut back the wheel wells. I plan on doing a lift at some point, but I want to wait until I have the money for a quality lift kit.
