Introduction
 

Hi Folks

Pleased to be joining this group. I just purchased a 2007 Ford Ranger XLT with about 120K miles, it's my first truck purchase so quite excited about it. Intending to use it for hauling furniture for the wife and weekend projects around the house and yard. Sometimes the weather here in Texas can get a little weird so I wanted to have a 4WD vehicle in the garage just in case and have been hunting one of these for the last couple of months with quite a few near misses.

I'm looking forward to doing work on the truck myself (it's gonna need a bit of attention due to a check engine light related to emissions) so I'm keen to learn where I should be sourcing OEM or OE parts from to get the right quality and best prices. If there are some good threads I should read to familiarize myself please point them out to me. I've ordered the maintenance manual already so should be able to follow that for most repairs etc, but am always fond of the forum DIY guides or tips and tricks.

Very open to suggestions on things that should be done as both preventative maintenance and on things you can do to improve the day to day functionality of the vehicle.

Any good you tube channels worth watching for info or maintenance would also be appreciated.
