New to the forum

Hello all my name is Tristan and I recently picked up a 1999 ford ranger sport 4x4 with 129k on it..it has the 3.0 flex fuel motor with manul trans...I really do like the truck..and i really like the fact that the truck is really easy to work on...I recently did a tune up on and a coolant flush and changed out the thermostat...The bad news in the clutch went out on it recently and it was pouring out oil via the oil pan gasket...I have read that is a common problem...So i took it in had the clutch replaced a new pan gasket put in and had the rear main seal replaced while they had the trans out...great truck I think it has plently of power for a little 3.0.....Now iam picking off the little problems that arise witha truck this old..but its just the work truck that sits around and we drive it once in awhile so issues it might have are not much a concern at this point....one thing it is doing though ..it has a clicking sound that in constant when braking....like a fast clicking sound but the truck stops just fine its just a noise....but not to worried but if anybody knows what that problem is right off the bat let me know as this is my first ranger ever...anyway thank for listening to me babble..and I look forward to picking the brains of all you ranger owners for issues dow nthe road...thank tristan

Welcome man. The noise *only* happens when brakes are applied? Front or rear of truck?

It actually sounds like it coming from inside the dash some where.....just a click click click....but very rapid...for sure from the front .....If I had to say best guess front drivers side..but again sounds like its coming from inside the dash...and yes only when brakes applied...
