94 Mazda B2300 2.3 liter 5 speed
Hi,
I have a 94 Mazda B2300 2.3 liter 5-speed manual transmission I bought new that has been sitting for 3 years with a thrashed engine. I'm going to drop a re-manufactured motor in it from powertrainproducts.net
I've got medium to high skill levels.
I need to know what model Ranger my truck is the same as and if anyone knows a link to a decent video of someone pulling the engine on this truck. I've seen a couple on Youtube that are close already. Since it has been sitting up for three years what is the best way to handle cleaning out the fuel system? (tank and fuel lines) I need to replace the pump/gauge anyway, also new injectors and possibly a new fuel rail.
Any DIY manuals and sites you recommend would be helpful. I plan on doing additional work like adding a performance dual exhaust, replacing the clutch and pressure plate, water pump, radiator, shocks\struts, maybe a Hurst shifter, new seats and other interior work, possibly a rear disk brake upgrade and some suspension work. Any tips, ideas, parts sites, suggestions to increase performance and handling, or other cool things to do or avoid would be most appreciated. Thanks! Lane in LaGrange Ga.
