Hello there ... New to the Forum. I recently traded my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 3.0L diesel for a 2020 Ford Ranger Lariat 4 door in White. I loved the Jeep, but, lately I've been spending more time dealing with recalls than driving it.
The Ranger was an impulse buy, sort of. I had just received my thirty something recall (probably like 4, but seems like more) all dealing with the diesel and all concerning the diesel exhaust filter and system. I was driving past my Hyundai dealer and there she was ... all white and shinning. I say it was sort of an impulse, because I had sorta been looking to trade the Jeep for the above reasons, and had looked at the Ranger on the Hyundai website. I have owned 4 Rangers in my life and loved every one of them. So I figured I couldn't go wrong. Got a pretty good deal with a lifetime extended powertrain warranty.
A big selling feature was it only had ~20K miles and the towing capacity. I have a Harley Tri Glide I pull on a Aluma TK1 trailer. total weight less than 2000#. This Ranger was sans hitch and wiring, but the deal included those as part of the deal.
As is my norm, I have ordered lots of WeatherTech goodies for the Ranger. I like the quality and fit of every WeatherTech (I have no association wit WeatherTech) product I've owned.
Looking forward to learning more about my new rig. Love it so far.
