New 2006 FX4 L2.

Hey guys, I just bought a new-on the lot 2006 FX4 Level 2. It had been sitting unsold, until I found it. I'm in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, and I'm lookin for people to offroad with! I have one question too, I want to ditch the front license plate, but I'm worried about exposing the radiator/tranny cooler behind it! Any Ideas?? Here's pictures:

Welcome to RF. Nice looking truck!

As for the coolers it shouldn't hurt them if there exposed

GR8COM- Having a plate is the law here, but I've heard its only about a 40$ fine, which is ok, because I really love the look of no front plate. I drove my Mustang around for two years with no front plate, and I had atleast 5 cops say "Hey nice car!"... I'm not too worried about that.

I'm worried about a rock getting kicked up and putting a hole in my radiator.

Mr Special, where do you go to offroad? Next time you go, PM me!

When did they stop making Level 2's?

I don't think they have stopped with the Level 2s or if they did it was 2008 model year...Which after looking at the ford website it looks like the 2008 models do not have the Level 2.

Dont worry about it, in Michigan, we don't have front plates and all the rangers around here are fine!

BTW, welcome!

As for the licence plate removal, i wouldnt worry. I personally havent herd about someone having issues with it removed, nor any times where a rock destroyed a radiator due to the licene plate not being there

And as for where we(I) go... Santiago Peak(local, easy, but there are some fun off-shoots, and great scenery), Azusa, El Mirrage, Gormon, Stoddard Wells, etc etc

Nice truck

You should remove the front plate and put on a street scene grille and bumper grille
