Im a Photographer/Graphic Designer in Northern California.
Purchased my Ranger back in February, 2005 4.0 2wd. Title says XLT but it seems to have all the options and appearance of an Edge. I hate buying used cars from dealers because you never get to learn about the vehicles history but this was exactly what I was looking for.
Since I bought it I put on the wheels and tires (had mud terrains), front brakes, and lower ball joints.

Found this forum in searching for information on eliminating the torsion bars. I really dont like the ride but love the look. From what I can tell the t-bars are cranked but I dont know what/if anything has been done to the back.
From the great help and fast responses on this forum it looks like I will be happy soon. Coilovers are in my near future.
