( first noob question :) ) will getting bigger tire thread and raising it a little bit effect my mpg at all??? and what is the stock mpg of a 98 ranger?? lol any ideas for it if you had a clean work sheet for a car and could do stuff to it what would ur advice be for me ?? thanks

Welcome. Bigger tires=worse mpg. If you are not going to lift it I say 31s are perfect. They arnt that big so you shouldn't notice any drop in mpgs. Got any pics of the truck?

Welcome! Bigger tires and lifting it will definitely hurt your fuel mileage... not likely a whole lot though!
