Hey whats up? Names Randy Im 24 and I live in Pa. bout an hour north of philly.

Long time ford fan! never owned but always admired. Im currently looking into getting my first one. Its a 97 ranger 4x4... i believe its an xlt but not positive... 3.0 yellow, reg cab, pretty much bone stock with no options, 67k miles, check engine light is on but idels and runs fine so i'm thinking its a censor. also 4x4 seems to work... didnt really get to test it but it did go in and out without a prob. but anywho my buddies mom works for the used lot that just got it in, and could prolly work out a deal and get it dirt cheap. they just have to inventory it and look it over. it is inspected for another 9-10 months.

I like the truck but only downfall is.... it has a Reading Utility Body on the back. It was a municiple water company truck. big flashing light ontop of the cab and boxes on the back. both sides have 3 tool boxes with a 3pc sliding steel cover over the bed. I HATE THIS BED ON THE TRUCK! I actually worked for Reading Truck Body (05-09) and i know exactly how their made. everyones motto that worked there said " it aint goin on my truck " lol. I do work maintinence for an apt complex and carry alot of tools and parts. but i have no use for a full utility body. I would live with it until i could swap the bed out... if i ever actually get to it. i tend to get too busy for projects like that. im hoping to hit the lottery and have them sell it to me for maybe 1,2 to 1,500 lol! my buddies mom asked what they wanted for it and they said roughly 2g without even looking it over.

Now do i get it and try to find time to swap beds? (btw i like the stepside's) do i live with it as is? or do i continue shopping?

ill prolly go back to look at it again tom. sometime, and see if i can take a pic. let me know what you guys & girls think.
