Longtravel is a type of "lift" typically used for prerunners, its used for the necessity of being able to move at high speeds through bumpy terrain, and always keeping your traction on the hill, both the front and the backside of it.. longtravel gives you around twice the normal downwards travel for the suspension as a standard stock truck.

Rather expensive, most of it is custom fabricating, and not the most road-legal type of lift... taking corners too fast with a build like that on a high raction surface can wipe you out, as it up-centers your gravity and feels like having a 15" lift going around a corner, very scary if your not expecting it.

It typically keeps your truck as low center as possible, only giving a few inches of actual lift (to fit in the proper suspension components) while installing a series of special shocks to give the proper range required for the lift. Body modifications are also needed, fender weels wont take that much of a beating when those wheels start tucking like that.
