Hey, I'm a very satisfied Ranger owner. Mine is an 08, XL, 2.3, 2WD, rather plain. I was a mechanic for almost 30 years and wanted a Ranger pretty much from the time they were introduced. We were starting a family and a Ranger really didn't fit the plan, so I had to wait. The Fall of 07 I purchased mine and have been enjoying it ever since. I recently had a bed liner applied and the only other thing I have done to alter it's appearance is my college window stickers for my daughters' various schools. As I said pretty plain but I like it.
My first new vehicle was a 76 Ford Courier, which was a rebadged Mazda. It's interesting how the situation has flip-flopped. Now the Mazda trucks are rebadged Fords.
I started out in this forum by asking about the gold antifreeze. I haven't gotten a reply, but looking elsewhere I pretty much have found what I figured was the case. Better stay with the gold stuff. I want my Ranger to go the distance so I'm trying to treat it right, so far only Ford semi-synthetic oil and Ford oil filters, Ford fuel filters and K&N air filter.

I replied to it the day it went up and a few other people did the day after.


I would go all ford fluid and filters though. They are defiantly not cheapos. Motorcraft is good ****.
