Some guy from Orange County

I joined a few days ago and finally got around to posting this little introduction.

Unfortunately I don't have a Ranger YET. My current plan is to get myself one from about 2003-04 with the 4.0L engine and 2wd. I'd really like to get an edge, but they seem to be hard to come by with a 4.0(at least in my area) so I'll probably end up with an XLT or similar.

I've been lurking the forums in the few days I have been registered and so far you guys seem to be a good bunch of helpful people, I'm glad I found this place.

Thanks for reading.

Welcome and good luck man. I see the Edge model all the time, try searching in North San Diego county? Keep looking around. I wouldn't settle for a model that you're not completely satisfied with. If you can afford it, I'd step up to the FX4 Ranger.

Thanks for the welcome guys. This has been an immensely helpful source of information for me.

Luckily I'm in no hurry to get a truck so I will probably wait it out for a nice 4.0 edge. As far as the FX4 is concerned, I can afford one and I'd love to have one, but I'm not sure the loss of mpg warrants me getting getting a 4x4 for the few times I might need it.
