So do you guys have any problems with your trucks? aka are there certain things that are known to break/go bad prematurely?

welcome. i happen to prefer the tacomas over rangers lol.

if gas prices don't go down in a year or so when it comes time to replace my ranger, i will be picking up a 4 door 05+ taco or an fj.

I just want more space. but not something that sucks down too much gas. and they have a decent amount of power.

no. if gas prices go down i'll be in an f150 or similar fullsize. but if they stay how they are or go up, i will have to stay in a midsize truck/suv.

my cousin has an 07 4 door taco and his MPG's are a bit better then mine, even though he's stock and i have 35s w/4.88's he still spends about the same when it comes time to fill it up.

Nice lookin' Taco!

I don't like to compare Rangers to current midsize trucks (Tacos, Colorados/Canyons, Dakotas, Frontiers) because Rangers are still compacts. They have the same engines they did in 2001. All others had a redesign in the early-mid 2000s. Rangers don't even have a crew cab option. Since compacts and midsizes are different classes of vehicles I don't think it's fair to compare them.

Not currently. You can compare Rangers to 2003 Tacomas before they updated.

That being said they are currently the best vehicle in there class....of 1.

2011 is the last model year of the Ranger so the compact truck in the US is no more anyway.

Nope, maybe one day that will change. Ford has a tendency to bring vehicles back.

so the ranger is going away all together? the smallest ford truck will now be the f-150? that would be too bad because i like that the rangers are so small. the small size is the reason i would consider getting one

nice truck! to the guy who posted the one with 37s and 9" of lift, the LCA angles make the truck look like sh*t. that thing needs a SFA really bad but aside that it looked good
