I like the new tacos. I wish the ranger had the interior options as the taco does, navi etc. I see the taco as a yuppie truck nd a truck that most people like. The ranger has its own spot its not classy I perfer the ruggedness of the ranger and the build quality of the ranger. The 4.0 taco oil filter is retarded. Oil spills all over the belts and headers Lmao

I looked at a taco at one time. Honestly, I didnt like it.. and for the same price as a trd offroad, I got into a 04nbs f150 lariat.
now with the way gas prices are, I would skip a f150, and get a f250 diesel. I average 4mpg better than my f150 got with my f350 dually lol. Too bad the smaller trucks dont get the diesel option.

Yes. Come 2012 the word on the street is that for will stop producing the Ranger. I have an email from ford partially confirming this they said that they couldnt say details to the future of the product line but they could say that the F150 will have new features to cater to Ranger buyers.
Im not quite sure how they are going to make a full size cater to a compact truck buyer. Not everyone wants or has the need for something that big. they could instead do a redesign to the Ranger to revive its sales... I mean the Ranger already has a strong base and moves alot of units and thats without going through a major redesign since 2001. And really that redesign was just the front clip... the basic shape and engines other than the sohc 4.0 have stayed the same since 93.
But maybe they will do like they did with the Taurus, kill it then realize they need it and bring it back.
Things that would make the ranger better would be some tweeking with the interior to bring it up to par with their other trucks.
Better off road packages
Major redesign of the outside without making it look like a pu44y truck.
the exterior redesign could take a backseat to more power/fuel efficient engines. maybe a small turbo diesel.
Main thing is a true 4 door cab with a longer than 4ft bed option

I thought maybe they would offer a new model in its place that was still smaller than the f150 or something
thanks!

at one point in time word of mouth was they were considering reviving the f100 as the ranger replacement. But as it looks now the 150 will be the smallest truck in Fords lineup.

not much of an upgrade lol. our v6 is weak compared to the Tacos. and even the extended cabs with rear fold down seats are cramped. you cant comfortably seat someone back there.
