Funny to watch this build, crash and then go again.

Good to go Dave.

Excuse me! Mud is stupid and anything can go mudding, Tacoma's are amazing on rocks. You can build them more, SAS them easier, many more mods for them than a ranger. My Tacoma will go anyplace I put it. I just had mass amounts of body work done that I dont feel like banging up on the woods thats why i got this ranger.

It's hard to argue what vehicle is better for offroading.

Take a look at the offroading community, literally any vehicle can built to do anything.

Off the shelf part availability won't stop a lot of people. They'll make anything work.

Work it needs
Lumpy idle (thought it was a vac leak) zip ties on TPS pulled TPS idles smooth $34.91
Rear slip yoke missing two internal splines gone. shaft is fine (need to find the yoke)
-possibly swap in a one piece drive shaft?
Valve cover gaskets leak bad $4.08
Weld the 7.5 till it snaps then use the 8.8 it came with in the bed

Ya you don't have me convinced. The only way to make them good at anything is to put American parts into it. And to say you can build them more is stupid. A VW bug could be built to do better on the rocks then your Tacoma. Oh but wait, most people would use American parts to do that as well.

Most use american parts. FWIW a Tacoma is made in Cali only parts from japan are driveline. But I agree stock form the Tacoma is more capable esp. with factory lockers. but a solid axle ranger and Tacoma on same axles are essentially the same just looks different. It's not the truck it's the driver. If i were to Solid axle my DD it wouldnt be with american parts Id have to go with Fj passenger drop 8" front and a FJ 8.5 rear. USA parts 14 bolt rear 60 front

Just about any stock ranger, taco, s10 w/e, will perform the same in any situation. Same with a SAS truck, if they are built to the same specs. I agree 100% that its the driver.

Stay out of it sir. He said JDM on a ford ranger site, that's fair game. If the OP can handle it, you can too.
