vibration

Hi, I just bought a 2004 ranger 2wd regular cab and have a shudder between 50 and 55 mph any ideas what it is and how to get rid of it

Is it just at 50-55 or is it higher as well... My first thought would be check balance on all the tires. Also make sure the tires are not chopped up. But if its between 50-55 only then it might be something else.

its probly your tires. need balancing or maybe just more air.

Check your drive-shaft and make sure the u-joints are in good shape and none of the bolts are loose.

Its also at other speeds as well but not all the time I didn"t mention that it has 55000 miles on it but I will check the driveshaft as well as the tires

Howdy. My guess would be tires aren't wearing correctly or they may not be balanced.

Maybe I'll get new tires, but it feels like when it shifts from 3rd to overdrive. Just wanted to see if there is a problem that happens to a lot of rangers.
