I have a 2002 and am wanting a engine swap what do you guys think would be easiest a 302 stroker or a diesel and if you got other engine recommendations would be glad to hear them.

302(5.0l) OHV would be easier since it has been done many times so loads of info

There are quite a few diesel swaps, but they get more complicated, depending on the engine chosen
VW TDI and 4BT Cummins are popular choices

 

Thank you for replying. If I go diesel what would be a good engine for max horsepower and torque trying to fill send with this ranger lol
