4x4 conversion?
4wd is 2wd 95% of the time. you really dont need it. besides its honestly alot easier to lift a 2wd then a 4. if your a mall crawler dont even bother getting 4wd..if you like muddin just hammer on it and rip through. my 2wd has seen more mud then most 4wd ever have or should
I don't think I'll ever see off road. Just lately in Oklahoma we just been getting really bad snow and ice in the winter. I might just throw some truck tires in the bed of the little pickup truck for that.
just sold my 2wd ranger over the weekend.. we got some pretty bad ice and snow here this past winter, and my truck did alright, but I'll never buy a 2wd truck again. like blackbetty, when I got mine, I didnt have the extra money for a 4wd. not that I'm buying another ranger, but if I ever did, it would be 4wd.
I bought my 2002 ranger at the dealership were I sold my 2006 mustang at. I try to find a 4x4 in my area but no luck in my price range. The only reason I bought the Tremor is because it looked like it had the 4x4 look and the color matches my other mustang I drive once in a while.
98-00 pretty much has every single aspect of a 4x4. The trailhead, which I have had all the brackets for the 4x4 meaning you don’t have to weld anything up for the front end. I converted my trailhead to 4x4 within 5 hours if that. Find you a cheap parts truck and it’ll make things a lot easier. You’ll get your 4x4 transmission, transfer case, front end, knuckles, front and rear driveshafts a lot cheaper than buying it all at a parts store. Paid 300 for my parts truck and used everything front that
