I agree with Camodown I think it looks like crap but I've seen it on both toyota's and jeeps. I personally know a guy in Wa. who taped a line about a foot up the body then used spray on linex on just that bottom it looked better.

I've seen it done a couple of times and when done well it looks pretty good. There are tintable bed liners out there that you can be colored any way you like and sprayed on to get an even texture. If you want to do it yourself get a good roll on bedliner like Duplicolor or Herculiner and do alot of prep work to rough up the paint and give the bedliner something to adhere to. One nice thing is if you do manage to damage the bedliner or rust develops, it is cheap and easy to repair.

If you are going to be beating on the truck and wheeling it often then i think its a good investment. You dont have to worry about scratching it and the body rusting as quickly and if you ever do it has a lifetime warranty so who cares. Heavy? It couldnt weigh more than a couple hundred pounds at most which I doubt you could feel. I think it looks better than scratched up paint, but worse than decent paint. So you have to ask yourself, would you scratch the **** out of the paint if you didnt bedline the whole truck?
