HIDs aren't legal, yet I don't believe the police (not in my parts at least) actually care or they haven't caught on. I'm guessing it's probly because they see a lot of newer vehicles with similar lighting.

It's only worth it if you want to go bright. Personally my Silverstars were bright enough but I like my HIDs too.

???

HID's are illegal? in what state!?!?

High-Intensity Discharge lighting has been a STANDARD on most higher-end vehicles since at least 2003....

Am I missing something? Or are you specifically referring to aftermarket HID kits?

There are some issues with aftermarket HIDs. Something abot if they didnt come on the vehicle you cant put HIDs on there.

sorry, aftermarket HIDs are illegal. esp. in headlight housings that aren't designed to have a cutoff.

Well As Long as they are Aimed correctly, the cops usually don't mind much.. I've been pulled over a few times.. (Not over headlights tho)

Personally, I LOVE mine.. I have 8000K headlights and 8000K in my fogs.. I'll NEVER go back to halogen..

There bright as hell but i know in NH the law states you cannot modifty your headlight source. Inspection stations give people crap about those Tucan, Eurolite etc blue bulbs...

I got 12k HID conversion with Diamond Clear headlights....LOVE THEM, so bright.

just installed some on the Ranger and the Mustang. Love them. I bought the ones that let you have high beams as well.

CORRECTION Gents....not ALL states made HID kit's illegal. TX does not have any laws pertaining to vehicles that DIDN'T come from the factory with HIDS installed being illegal. It depends on the state. I've had them in NV and in TX and checked with local law inforcement and found there isn't anything to cover HIDS, just be smart aim them low, check with your local police/sheriff.
